Cambodia’s Economic Growth Expects To Be 7% In 2012
“Cambodia’s economic growth will stand about 7 per cent this year,” director general of National Bank of Cambodia His Excellency Chea Chanto said. He adds: “Cambodia is trying to diversify its economies to boost the growth.” At the same time, the report from World Bank said: Gross foreign reserves expanded 14 percent, reaching US$3 billion (23.4 percent of GP or 4.5 months of imports) by the end of 2011, and this momentum is expected to continue in 2012 with reserves projected to reach US$3.4 billion. … Cambodian economic growth was contributed 30.9% from agriculture, industry of 22% and services of 40% in 2011 and in Gross Domestic Product was about $14.2 billion in 2011. Income per capita grew to nearly 1,000 US dollars. If comparing with other members of ASEAN countries, Cambodian economic growth is still high. …
